Through recent investment into machinery, Northwest has increased both its capacity and service offering. The new Timesaver fully automated line, which can process between 15-20 tonnes of sheet metal each day, is a significant addition to our facility in Oldham, building on our philosophy of continued improvement.

Our metal polishing capabilities are supported by state-of-the-art machinery, providing finishing for a range of metal parts and bars including:

  • Tube & Cylindrical Polishing (satin & mirror finish)
  • Angle & T Section Polishing (20 x 20mm up to 100 x 100mm satin & mirror finish)
  • Flat Bar & Boxed Polishing (up to 250mm)

Significant Investment In Production Capabilities

Northwest Polishing has recently made a significant investment in machinery to broaden the services offered and provide faster lead times for customers.

The recently installed Timesaver fully automated polishing line has the capability to process 15-20 tonnes of sheet metal every day. The process line is able to handle cold rolled sheet metal up to 1500 x 3000mm x 6mm.

This investment into our production capabilities ensures that every stage of production, from initial material loading all the way to final inspection, is optimised and automated to ensure maximum efficiency. The Timesaver fully automated polishing line will enable Northwest Polishing to process greater quantities of products, with a higher standard of finish and consistency.

Metal finishing has a multitude of advantages, including improving the overall aesthetic of the metal, giving it a clean and professional appearance, which is crucially important for sectors such as architecture. Metal finishing can also help provide corrosion resistance by creating a protective barrier on the surface of the metal, whilst improving its overall durability.

COVID19 – Northwest Polishing Update

In light of the recent government announcement regarding the November Lockdown. We wanted to outline some of the measures we’ve taken to ensure we continue to serve our customers and stakeholders during this unprecedented period.

We have adapted our workshop to allow for social distancing measures and our workforce have been issued with filtered breathing masks. We are also operating a split shift system to minimise contact between staff and Our office staff are working remotely and are still able to provide you with swift quotations and any technical advice.

Operationally, We are still operating our free of charge delivery and collection service to The Metal Centre and are currently working on a three day turnaround.

Metal Centre Spring Special Offer

As part of our customer centric operation we offer a free of charge daily collection and delivery service to The Metal Centre in Wednesbury. We will collect your long products and delivery polished item back to the centre within our standard 2-3 day lead time.
